Tonight at the 6-8th Grade Science Fair, we browsed about 260 kids' projects as long as we could. you know how those school events are jam packed- not a spare parking space, and wall to wall people? We were there. LO and behold, they announced the honorable mentions for 7th grade, then 3rd place, then 2nd place, then the judge said "This is going to sound a little weird, but we chose a project that demonstrated the best use of Scientific Principle, testing nail polish". Well, guess who has been working on a nail polish science project for weeks? (See below for answer)

Sarah and Lauren wearing their first place medals! Hooray!

You may have noticed Laurens lack of glasses in the photo above... They mysteriously came apart between night and the next morning... so we visited the eye Dr and picked up an accurate prescription for contacts and glasses. He wasn't too jazzed that we had gotten a prescription for contacts from someone else (!) Perhaps on Friday we'll visit the spectacle store. Is that wise before Mom comes home? Should Dad be responsible for Lauren's fashion choice in eyewear? Sure! I've picked some real winners! Remember the BIG glasses I had around the time we were married? For Laurens sake, we hope my tastes have improved.

One or Two? This one or that one? Clear or fuzzy?

Meila and Anya finished their Cheerleading clinic today- 3 intensive days of rigorous cheer training from 330-5 after school Monday - Wednesday. Grandma made it with us to this cute exhibition. Their final product will be on display next week at the Elementary School Talent Show.

Singing and dancing to Miley Cyrus' Hoedown Throwdown

Finally, the end of the day has arrived, and what better way to wind down than a bus tour? Lauren showing of the comforts of her custom decorated bunk. Nice.

Fluffy, cozy, well decorated and envied as the standard in bunk decoration. I'm surprised you can still see any wall space at all!
